Arsene Wenger has made wholesale changes to the side that beat BATE Borisov on Thursday as Arsenal prepare to face Southampton at St. Mary’s.
Per Mertesacker is the major change, with the German defender replacing Shkodran Mustafi from the side that lost to Manchester United last weekend. The trio of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette start too.
For Southampton, Maya Yoshida and Jack Stephens are among the changes, while Charlie Austin starts another game up front.
