Liverpool see Simon Mignolet reinstated in goal while Pep Guardiola has opted to start both Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero upfront for his Manchester City side.

Manchester City fans would be ecstatic looking at the lineup ahead of the game, with Pep Guardiola opting to start both Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero against Liverpool. New signings Danilo, Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy all start in a move that has several questions attached to it.

Bernardo Silva will again have to be content with a place on the City bench, just like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has reinstated Simon Mignolet in goal. Coutinho is the big miss though, with Klopp not including the player in the matchday squad.

Liverpool are on a high after a 4-0 win over Arsenal and it will be interesting to see how Pep Guardiola sets up his side to counter the threat posed by an attack that has showed no signs of slowing down.
