Olivier Giroud was the cream of the crop as France toiled to a 3-1 win over Luxembourg to cement their place atop Group A of the European Qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
France seemed to be enduring a tough time in front of goal away to Luxembourg early on in the game. Antoine Griezmann had the lion’s share of chances but was unable to open the scoring for the away side.
However, Giroud was clinical again as he scored two real poacher’s goals while being a constant threat to the opposition defence.
