Arsenal’s sorry run of form continued as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was under immense scrutiny by the media as well as the fans of the club, and this result did little to establish his claim to be at the helm.
The Arsenal fans have carried out a number of protests over the last few weeks through banners in the stadium, and pre and post-match rants on numerous fan television channels.
However, before the Gunners’ game kicked off against West Brom, the fans took their protests to a whole new level as they flew an anti-Wenger banner above the stadium that called for the Frenchman to part ways with the club.
“No Contract #Wenger Out” the banner read, and the fans sent their message loud and clear to the Arsenal board. Wenger now appears to be under mounting pressure, and is expected to leave the club come the end of the season.
