Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has brought back first team regulars Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, David De Gea and Antonio Valencia back into the starting lineup, as the Red Devils host Hull City in the semi-final first leg of the EFL Cup.
However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic misses out from the eleven due to illness, with Marcus Rashford starting in his stead. Club captain Wayne Rooney leads the side, and has a chance to break Sir Bobby Charlton’s long-standing record to become Manchester United’s all-time top scorer.
The visitors Hull City are largely unchanged from their win over Swansea City in the FA Cup 3rd round in the weekend, with Manchester United academy graduate James Weir starting from the bench for the Tigers.
Here are the confirmed lineups.
