Sergio Ramos stood tall for Real Madrid yet again as he headed in an injury time winner to guide Los Blancos to a 3-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

The result ensured that Real maintained their six-point lead over fierce rivals Barcelona, after the Blaugrana had soundly beaten Osasuna 3-0 earlier in the day.

Alvaro Morata had opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 50th minute, with a long range goal. However, two quickfire goals from Joselu saw Deportivo take the lead, putting Real’s unbeaten streak in threat of being broken. That was before substitute Mariano levelled the scores with just six minutes of regulation time left.

However, it was the Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who scored the leveller in last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona, who stood up to head home the winner from Toni Kroos’ corner in injury time and guide his club to a 3-2 win.
