AC Milan and Inter Milan had to share the derby spoils on Sunday as a late equaliser from Croatian winger Ivan Perisic denied Milan a memorable win.

While the Derby della Madonnina may not hold the significance that it once did, the latest clash between the two Milan based clubs made for a richly entertaining tie.

Inter started the game brightly, but it was  Milan who opened the scoring against the run of play through former Liverpool playmaker Suso. The Spanish midfielder cut in on his right foot and curled one past Samir Handanovic in fine fashion from the edge of the box in the 42nd minute.

Inter responded shortly after the break, with Antonio Candreva scoring an absolute rocket into the top right corner from outside the box to make it 1-1 in the 43rd minute.

Just five minutes later, Suso scored his second of the night to give the home side a lead yet again with some exquisite individual play inside the box.

It looked as if Milan were heading for three points, but Ivan Perisic had other plans. The forward scored in injury-time to secure a point for the away side.
