Sevilla almost pulled off an upset victory over mighty Barcelona. However their Argentine magician took control of proceeding and put Barca back on top.
After conceding the advantage to Sevilla, the Blaugrana were up against the ropes. Lionel Messi came to the rescue shortly before half time though, smashing in the equalizer and taking his career tally for Barca to 500 goals.
It was a monumental occasion, but Messi didn’t stop there. He provided the assist for Luis Suarez to score the winner, as he rounded off an imperious performance. The 29-year-old proved to be the difference maker for Barca once again.
