The Argentine striker returned to form, scoring a brace in a dominating team display at the Hawthorns.

Pep Guardiola can finally feel a sigh of relief after Manchester City ended their 6 match win-less streak with an exhilarating 4-0 victory away from home.

Sergio Aguero scored his first goal in six appearance with a fine finish after Ilkay Gundogan found his run with a pass. The striker then doubled the lead few minutes later with a breath-taking strike from edge of the box which left Ben Forster having no chance of saving it.

West Brom responded strongly at the start of second half, with manager Tony Pulis urging his men to push forward and press Manchester City. The tactic did work as the citizen were caught of-guard and the home created few chances but couldn’t convert it.

West Brom’s fight-back didn’t last long as Manchester City scored their third goal in the 79th minute through Ilkay Gundogan with Sergio Aguero turning the provider this time with an exquisite chip to the midfielder. Gundogan completed the scoreline with his second of the night, finishing off coolly from a Kevin De Bruyne pass in the 90th min.

The result now means Manchester City stay at top of the table on goal-difference.
