Real Madrid had five different scorers as a hapless Osasuna proved to be no match for Cristiano Ronaldo and co.
Ronaldo’s return saw Real Madrid put in an inspiring showing against Osasuna. The Portuguese managed to find the back of the net just six minutes into the game.
Danilo, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Pepe added another four to put Madrid in the ascendancy. Two late goals from Osasuna proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Los Blancos held on for a comfortable victory.
Here’s how the game played out on Twitter:

Amazing reception for Modric after a sensational goal. He turned 31 yesterday…still the absolute boss. pic.twitter.com/ONMAG9cmpk

Really true that despite Ronaldo, Ramos heroics etc, Modric is now easily the Bernabeu / Madrid match-going fans favourite player.

Modric with a slick turn. ? He’s been flitting in and out of this game, but some of his touches have been brilliant.
— Managing Madrid (@managingmadrid) September 10, 2016
Modric just Cruyff-turned right thru two Osasuna defenders, deep in his own half, to set team on attack.

Cristiano Ronaldo was all subject to added praise on social media:
He’s back!
Cristiano Ronaldo slots home to give Real Madrid the early lead over Osasuna!

He controlls more in the game than Messi does, Messi is better at Passing, Vision & Dribbling. Ronaldo owns the rest of the game by far

Ronaldo’s first touch since final of euros is goal. 5′, RM 1-0 up against Osasuna. Good chance on break for Kroos to make it 2-0.
