Arsenal came back from a goal down to snatch a 2-1 win over Southampton at the Emirates thanks to a brilliant display from Santi Cazorla.
There was a sense of anticipation surrounding Emirates as both the new arrivals from Spain – Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez – were thrown straight into the starting lineup by Arsene Wenger. Arsenal fell behind early due to an unfortunate goal resulting from Dusan Tadic’s free kick, which was ultimately ruled as an own-goal credited to Petr Cech.
Arsenal, though, dug deep and rode on the back of an in-form Santi Cazorla, completing a comeback to register a 2-1 win over the Saints.
Arsenal fans went gaga over Cazorla, Mustafi and Koscielny’s performance after the victory.
IMO Santi Cazorla is a PL trophy away from having a statue at the Emirates…

Can we just leave the captain band with Koscielny .. Seriously.
— Lord Damian (@TheBlvckDain) September 10, 2016
Honestly can we stop the whole Koscielny isn’t the CB best in the league. @rioferdy5 has been saying it longer than most. fair play to him.
— Atom & Humber Fan (@FreddieLawKeen) September 10, 2016
Koscielny is the best CB in Europe by the way.
— Rahul (@rahuliole) September 10, 2016
The love, commitment and passion Koscielny has shown for the Arsenal in recent years is second to none.

Despite the win, the referee’s decision to award Arsenal a penalty in the 94th minute, which ultimately turned out to be the winner for Wenger’s side was questioned by pundits and fans alike on Twitter. The fans also did not spare the performance of striker Lucas Perez as the Spaniard was found missing on the pitch for most part of the 90 minutes and was rather unconvincing on his debut.
Lucas Perez didn’t impress me, didn’t have a lot of service but he just looks bang average. Giroud done more in the time he came on
— Olly (@AdebayorEsque) September 10, 2016
Lucas Perez another fraud.

While one particular fan summarised his verdict on a few Arsenal players on the match.

Santi: Sensational

Mustafi: Cool

Team: 3pts— Oh to be a Gooner!! (@jaayjaey) September 10, 2016
It looks like Arsenal fans are loving the addition of Shkodran Mustafi while Lucas Perez would need some time before adjusting to the rigors of the Premier League.
