In one of the most shocking deals on deadline day, Arsenal fan favourite Jack Wilshere joined domestic rivals AFC Bournemouth on loan. While many fans were sad to see him go, some of them immediately demanded that his Gunners shirt be handed to German midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Wilshere has been the Gunners’ golden boy since making his first team debut for the club as a 17-year-old. However, the performance of Arsenal No. 11 Mesut Ozil last season means that there are many fans who think that Wilshere’s no. 10 shirt rightfully belongs to the German play-maker.
Give Wilshere’s #10 shirt to Özil please

Now Wilshere’s been binned off, can Ozil take his rightful place as the heir to that #10 shirt

Mesut Ozil is new Germany’s no10 … btw, Arsenal’s no10 is free as Wilshere off to Bournemouth ?

Ozil didn’t waste time in taking up that Vacant #10 jersey for Germany. Now Jack Wilshere is Arsenal’s current #10, he’s not around. SOOOOO?

With Wilshere on loan, Ozil can take back his shirt number and carry on being the best number 10 in the world.

Most of the fans were extremely sad to see Wilshere leave the club. The 24-year-old has been one of the biggest fan favourites at the Emirates for almost a decade, but his dubious injury record has waylaid a promising career. Many are hoping that he can show what he’s capable of at Bournemouth, even though they find it surreal that he’s leaving the club.
Just like @DanielSturridge‘s case at @LFC , Arsenal will will not wait for Wilshere forever.

At Least Wilshere Ain’t On The Treatment Table

@PoznanInMyPants @JWB_NorthBank I don’t see how you can contrive that letting Wilshere go makes us anything but weaker (however marginally).

Still incredibly weird to not have Wilshere at Arsenal…

Still trying to get my head around us loaning Jack Wilshere. Missing the little fella already.

In other news, Jack Wilshere ‘s descent into ‘who’ is picking up pace.

Just can’t get over Wilshere; so so sad what’s happened to him.

Redknapp: “You can dress it up any way you like but it comes down to Wenger deciding Wilshere isn’t currently good enough for his team.”

Abuse aside, I love the fact that Wilshere has been dumped on by a great height by his beloved Arsenal, however they try to sweeten it??
