However the end of the match was marred with controversy, as 21-year-old German midfielder Robert Bauer showed seven fingers to the Brazilian fans as a reminder of their 7-1 defeat to Die Mannschaft in the 2014 World Cup.
The Ingolstadt player later apologized for his actions, but was roundly criticized by the fans.
