Barcelona came out on top in the battle of the League champions as Luis Suarez & co. defeated Leicester City 4-2 in Stockholm.
The Catalans dominated the first half as expected and were up 3-0 by half time with two goals from Munir on either side of a Suarez goal. It seemed as if Leicester would suffer a heavier defeat than the one against PSG, but the Foxes came back swinging in the second half and managed to pull back two goals, courtesy of Ahmed Musa. The 42,879 in attendance at the Friends Arena were treated to some very exciting football as both teams looked equally threatening, but as the Foxes looked to pull off a comeback against the La Liga champions, substitute Rafa Mujica netted a fourth for Barcelona late in the game to kill all hopes.
The Barcelona manager was extremely happy with his side’s win, but insisted that the priority was to get his men back into peak physical condition. Speaking about his opponents Leicester, he said “Leicester City were the big surprise in football last season. We played very well in the first half by not giving them any space. In the second half they made two top class moves and scored two goals out of them.” He reserved special praise for his two goal hero Munir, saying “I have every confidence in him. He is a young and enthusiastic player. He never stops working and always delivers.” [via fcbarcelona.com]

Musa looks like a great signing for Leicester, really impressive against Barcelona tonight. Can’t wait to sign him for £50million in 2017.

In Musa and Vardy, @LCFC might just have the quickest pair of strikers in the history of football.

Musa looks a class signing for Leicester. Yeah it’s “only pre-season” but it’s still Barca. Two great goals.

Great run Ahmed Musa. Left the Barca defence for dust.

Munir is making my pressure rise….and it’s just a friendly. In an actual game, he is going to give me a full on heart attack.
