Premier League side Bournemouth completed a reported £4.5 million signing of Australian left-back Brad Smith from Liverpool.
A number of the Liverpool fans saw Brad Smith as one for the future, given their crisis at left-back. However, manager Jurgen Klopp thought otherwise and decided to let go of one his most highly-rated youngsters in the squad.
Liverpool fans wished the defender good luck on Twitter, and are hoping that he would return to Anfield one day:
Best of luck to @bradsmith_94, who today completes a permanent move to AFC Bournemouth: https://t.co/L8WVLxG128 pic.twitter.com/RgAXxOzuWc

Sad to see Brad smith go, I think he had more to give if he was given to the game time and opportunity to show himself. #lfc

However, many saw him as an upgrade to current left-back Alberto Moreno and were disappointed to let him go.
Disappointed we’ve sold @bradsmith_94 he’s a million times better than Morono er Moreno!!! #LFC

6 million for Brad Smith! No one wanted him in League 2 10 months ago. Surely there is a left-back out somewhere who is better than Moreno?

I’m not at all happy with Brad Smith being sold and that silly twat Moreno being kept tbh!

Good luck to Brad Smith. Would rather have kept him than Moreno being honest. He’ll do well there and hope he does.Couldn’t fault his effort

Disappointed to see Brad Smith go as I think he’s better than Moreno. Hopefully that buy back clause will come in handy in the future. ?
