Borussia Dortmund have signed Mario Gotze back from Bayern Munich, after the German World Cup winner spent three years at the Bavarian club.
Gotze himself made the announcement on his Twitter account.

The 24-year old had failed to establish himself as a regular starter under Pep Guardiola at Bayern, which is seen as one of the main reasons why he moved back to Dortmund, despite the fact that the Bavarians have appointed a new manager in Carlo Ancelotti.
Here are some of the best reactions we found on Twitter, about Gotze’s return to his childhood club.
Gotze will be elite again. Top signing for BVB

Gotze’s move to Bayern wasn’t a failure, at least not for FCB: They mostly wanted to make Dortmund weaker – mission accomplished.

Gotze’s move back to Dortmund means that the 24-year-old will now re-unite with the likes of Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining them, to form a formidable attack. While there was a lot of romanticising about the two Dortmund home boys — Gotze and Reus — reuniting once again, some fans were smacking their lips at the prospect of this formidable Dortmund lineup ripping apart Bayern.
Welcome back ???⚽️ @MarioGoetze

I’m glad Mario Gotze went back to Dortmund. I hope him, Reus, and Aubameyang crush Bayern just because they take everyone from them lol

However, the biggest joke regarding the Gotze transfer doing the rounds on Twitter, involves a Premier League club — Liverpool. The Reds have long been linked with a move for Gotze, as former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is said to have been wanting a reunion with the 24-year old. It was Dortmund, who signed Gotze for £18 million, while Liverpool signed Georginio Wijnaldum from Championship club Newcastle for £25 million. Here are some of the most hilarious reactions we found on Twitter.

We live in a world where you buy Wijnaldum (Currently a championship player) for 25M and Mario Gotze (A World Cup Winner) for 18M.
