Euro 2016: Germany vs France Starting Lineups – Can gets the nod over Weigl for Die Mannschaft; Les Bleus remain unchanged

A mouth-watering battle is in store as a rampant German side takes on hosts France with a place in the finale up for grabs.

Germany head-coach Joachim Low has made key alternations to the side that beat Italy on penalties. Mario Gomez and Sami Khedira picked up injuries in the quarter-final which ensures Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger and Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler come into the starting XI.

Under-performing Thomas Muller is expected to lead the lines with Joshua Kimmich and Draxler on either side of the striker.

Mats Hummels misses out through a suspension and will be replaced by tournament debutant Emre Can.

Despite the likes of N’Golo Kante and Adil Rami back in contention, French coach Didier Deschamps has decided to stick with the same formula, as he has named the same eleven that took the field four days ago against Iceland.

Samuel Umtiti, who made his debut in that game, starts at the heart of the defence alongside Laurent Koscielny.

All eyes will be on Les Bleus‘ attack, as their strike duo of Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann have scored seven goals between them at Euro 2016.

Here’s a look at the two sides in detail:
