Sadio Mane joined Liverpool for a reported price of £34 million. However, BBC stated that it could rise up to £36 million, making him a record signing for the Reds.
For a number of seasons, Liverpool have brought in young and upcoming players from Southamption. On Tuesday, Saints attacker Sadio Mane completed his move to Anfield for a fee that could see him become the most expensive signing made in Liverpool’s history. While he would add a lot of flair to the Reds’ attack, an asking price that high may bring a certain level of expectations.
Here’s how fans saw Mane’s move to Anfield:
£34 million for Mane, I swear Liverpool just make these signings just to make everyone laugh ?

No issue with #LFC signing Mane. Real worry is all the players who prefer to sign elsewhere.

Don’t know how I feel about the Mané signing.. It shouldn’t matter but £30 mill just seems like much for a player like him #LFC

Be interesting to see if we sell Benteke will we go buy another striker or use Mane as an alternative striker.

People still going on about the price for Mane
If Klopp wants him at that price he must rate him highly
Good enough for me

Sadio Mane is a bizzare signing for Liverpool. He just doesn’t add value to the team in terms of individual quality or tactical flexibility.

Klopp has backed Mane. I’ll back Klopp to turn him into a consistent attacker. For the fee paid, we’d expect a good return

15 – Sadio Mane scored more goals in all competitions than any other Southampton player last season (15). Poached.

Let’s hope he lives up to his price tag unlike benteke #SadioSigns

still deeply annoyed that @LFC went with #SadioSigns rather than #HereComesTheMané as the official hashtag

Sadio Mané: Is 1 of just 2 players who are not strikers to have scored 10+ goals in each of the last 2 PL seasons (along with Sanchez) #LFC
