Manchester United and Spain’s number 1 goalkeeper David De Gea and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Iker Muniain have been named in a sexual assault case that dates all the way back to 2012.
Just hours before the Euro 2016 kicked off, news broke that Spain’s goalkeeper David De Gea and Athletic Bilbao’s attacking midfielder Iker Muniain had been involved in a sexual assault case based on an incident in 2012. The Independent went further and stated that the keeper had already been sent home. Noted journalist Guillem Ballague was quick to rule out the rumours by tweeting that the Manchester United player was still with the Spanish squad.
De Gea has not been sent home. He is in the hotel with the national team. There is a court case on the way. Innocent till proven guilty

For clarification, De Gea hasn’t been sent home yet. There can be no way that reports to the contrary are true.

The announced press conference of De Gea has become one with Aduritz and Bellerin that did not answer questions about their teammate

Aduriz and Bellerín giving the press conference, de Gea has not come out.

Question two at Spain press conference is about De Gea “I will say this just once, we will not talk at all about this issue,” says Aduriz.

This news however did not gel well with the fans. Shocked by the developments in the case, this is what they had to say.
OK wow, I’m so disgusted. and obviously men are gonna be super caping for de Gea as per usual

Surely there can’t be total silence re De Gea. Spain or the player must release an official statement.

Gonna let the facts shake out on this De Gea story. But, goodness, the timing sure is convenient.

@SmuggieMike no, I don’t. But the right thing at the moment is for a process to be had – and De Gea can’t be at Euros for that matter

Can’t actually see this De Gea thing being true, surely not!?!??
