West Ham United played their last ever game at Upton Park before their move to Olympic Park next season. In a fitting farewell, they beat Manchester United 3-2 in a thriller, and followed it up with a grand farewell ceremony.
Sakho opened the scoring at Upton Park against the Red Devils, courtesy of a slight Daley Blind deflection,
The scored stayed the same until the 51st minute, before Martial levelled the score with a simple finish via a Mata cross
Martial then scored his second of the night and what a goal it was. One worthy of the occasion. Pace, Power, Precision, Perfection.
Antonio then equalized with a superb header to send Upton Park into raptures,
Antonio’s equalizer gave new life to the Irons as they pushed and pushed and kept applying pressure. They won a free kick deep in the United half,
“He rose so high, he touched the sky!”
It was Reid’s first goal in a year and a half, and what a time to score it. The winner against Manchester United in the last ever game played at the legendary Boleyn ground. What a way to sign off.
