Real Madrid brushed aside Villarreal with a simple 3-0 victory thanks to goals from youngster Vazquez, Benzema and Modric, who scored his first goal at home since May 2013.
Real Madrid kept the gap between themselves and league leaders Barcelona to a point after victory over Villarreal with goals from Benzema, Vazquez and Modric in a match that ended with an injury scare for Cristiano Ronaldo.
