Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale all scored for Real Madrid against Sevilla on Sunday night, bringing the Los Blancos to within a point of second placed Atletico Madrid in the La Liga table.
Gareth Bale surpassed Gary Lineker’s record of most goals scored in La Liga by a British player, as Real Madrid turned on the style to beat Sevilla 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. An early goal by Benzema put Real Madrid in front before second half goals by Ronaldo, Bale and Jese sealed all three points for Zidane’s men.
It was a historic night for Welsh winger Gareth Bale as he scored his 43rd goal for Real Madrid, beating Englishman Gary Lineker’s 27-year-old La Liga record.
