Manchester United youngster Anthony Martial saved the Red Devils’ blushes by scoring a late equaliser against West Ham United to keep his side in contention for the FA Cup.
The Red Devils almost slipped up once again, as a beautiful freekick from the Hammers’ playmaker-in-chief Dimitri Payet put them on top midway through the second half. Manchester United looked to be heading out of yet another competition, before an 83rd-minute goal from French forward Anthony Martial put them back on level pegging.
The match ended 1-1, and Manchester United remain in the hunt for what could be their only piece of silverware this season. The two teams will now face each other at the Boleyn Ground next month for a replay.
