Europa League hero Marcus Rashford continued where he left off against Midtjylland by scoring twice in Manchester United’s remarkable 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Two first-half goals from 18-year-old forward Marcus Rashford helped the Red Devils to a commanding lead from which Arsene Wenger’s side failed to recover. It has been a remarkable few days in the nascent career of the teenager, who scored his first goals for Manchester United in the 5-1 Europa League rout of Midtjylland on Thursday.
Making his Premier League debut against Arsenal did not seem to daunt Rashford, who scored a brilliant brace to consign Arsenal to a damaging defeat on Sunday.
The first goal was an opportunistic strike, with Rashford finding himself in an excellent position to shoot from a Guillermo Varela cross. Check out the video of the goal which started it all below.
