Thierry Henry shortlisted a team consisting five Leicester City FC players, four from Arsenal FC, and one each from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. This best XI lineup includes what he considers the best players in the Premier League right now.
Although Tottenham Hotspur have had a pretty solid defence, having conceded the least number of goals at 19 in the Premier League, only one player Deli Alli made could make the cut.
Tottenham Hotspur fans also won’t be happy with the fact that Harry Kane, their top-scorer with 15 goals (1 more than Aguero) has been left out of his best XI by the ex-Arsenal legend.
Thierry Henry’s Best XI
Defence: Petr Cech (GK), Hector Bellerin, Robert Huth, Laurent Koscielny, Christian Fuchs
Midfield: N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez and Deli Alli
Attack: Mesut Ozil, Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy
Thierry Henry received some flak on Twitter from Spurs supporters as they consider his Best XI to be biased, giving preference to Gunners defenders.
Thierry Henry’s top four combined XI only has one Tottenham player in it? I’m shocked.

Thierry Henry has gone for Huth and Koscielney over the likes of Alderweireld. Don’t Spurs have the best defensive record this season?

Thierry Henry’s the most biased cant ever. Spurs have the best defensive record in the league n not ones in his team pic.twitter.com/IYiNTQdIbl
