Arsenal FC registered a 2-0 away win against AFC Bournemouth and revived their title hopes as they’re now ahead of the Citizens and at par with their local rivals Tottenham Hotspur FC on points, but behind on goal difference.
This was the Gunners’ second win this year out of a total of six Premier League games, and a much needed one indeed after they suffered a defeat at the Emirates against Chelsea in their last fixture. Arsenal FC have drawn three and lost one game so far this year.
Goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain secured three important points for the Gunners as they look to mount a successful title run this season.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Gunners’ win.
1 – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored his first ever Premier League goal away from home. Overdue.

When you wait over five hours for a Premier League goal and then score two in two minutes #Arsenalhttps://t.co/egzk4LwzaK

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been directly involved in a Premier League goal for the first time since December 2014. pic.twitter.com/q9RjrnT0vU — Squawka Football (@Squawka) February 7, 2016
We may be winning but we’re playing with half the intensity/ferocity of Leicester yesterday. Makes me very worried about next Sunday. #afc

Bournemouth fans : “Shall we sing a song for you?” Arsenal fans: “Shall we score a goal for you?” — Darren Lewis (@MirrorDarren) February 7, 2016
Another reminder of why @PetrCech has been of the signings of the season. Important saves and steadying influence for #afc at #afcb

Seriously, what a finish from Oxlade-Chamberlain. #AFC

Credit to Bournemouth as they’ve made a game of this having looked like they could capitulate. Arsenal just a step above in class though.
