Young Chelsea FC defender Ola Aina scored an astonishing goal from inside the Blues’ own half in an emphatic 5-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the Premier League International Cup.
The Chelsea FC U21s registered a comfortable win against London rivals Tottenham Hotpsur on Thursday, with the most memorable moment of the match coming in the 35th minute courtesy defender Ola Aina.
Although the 19-year-old has been included officially in the first-team squad, he has yet to get minutes on the pitch. Moments like the one yesterday, however, could get him closer to making his senior bow. Spotting the Spurs goalkeeper off his line, the 19-year-old took aim and launched an astonishing effort from his own half which sailed perfectly over the keeper’s head and into the back of the net.
