Furthermore, his age and injury concerns, may also force Wenger to look at other options in the market. It is believed that Huntelaar, Ba, Llorente and Dzeko are also on their radar.
It will be interesting to see how Theo Walcott reacts if Arsenal were to sign a striker in January, as the Englishman has for long indicated that his preferred position on the pitch is through the middle and not on the right. In the summer, Walcott was heavily linked to a move away from Emirates with only an year left in his contract. If he has refused to sign a contract extension, the January transfer window may be the last opportunity for Arsenal to make some money of his sale, before he leaves for free at the end of the season, so they can be expected to listen to offers on the table. Liverpool and Chelsea are likely destinations, but with the Meyseyside club rumoured to be closing on Daniel Sturridge, Chelsea may look towards the north of London.
