Radu Dragusin has asked his agent to secure Tottenham exit

Radu Dragusin wants to leave Tottenham in the summer, having instructed his agent to find a new club in the close season.

Tottenham could be set to lose several of their current players due to their ongoing problems and the stars’ feelings about their roles at the club. As per Romanian outlet Spot Media, Radu Dragusin wants to quit Spurs once the season ends and has already instructed his agent, Florin Manea, to find a new club.

Radu Dragusin’s situation at Tottenham is different to that of fellow defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. Spurs may not want to lose the latter duo, but could be forced to accept their fate owing to their ongoing relegation battle, and what those players want.

However, in Dragusin’s case, he has been an unused substitute in their last three games, and he feels his situation could become untenable heading into the summer. In fact, the player has decided to leave the club and instructed his agent, Florin Manea, to find a new club that would suit his career.

Manea is reportedly in discussions with teams from Italy and Germany, as a move to either of those leagues could materialise. Spurs do have strong negotiating power with the Romanian defender’s contract running until 2030, but the current circumstances, especially if they are to get relegated, could change their position.

Spurs might be open to the idea of selling Dragusin, as they are already in advanced talks for Marcos Senesi ahead of the summer. Any move for the Argentine will be contingent on Tottenham staying up in the Premier League. As for Dragusin, the road in north London might be about to end, as he could be leaving England for a new adventure.

Is there interest in Radu Dragusin?

AC Milan and AS Roma were in contention during the January window, with the latter reportedly coming close with a failed loan bid for the defender. There is the possibility of a return to Serie A, where Dragusin played for Genoa before joining Spurs.

RB Leipzig were also linked in January, and the talk of a potential move to Germany makes sense to an extent. The Romanian defender could have plenty of suitors in the mix, although any move will ultimately depend on Tottenham’s asking price for the centre-back, who also has a chequered injury history of late.
