Andre Onana wants to fight for Manchester United future

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been linked with a permanent exit from the club at the end of the season.

Andre Onana is currently on loan at Trabzonspor, and he has done quite well for the Turkish outfit.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Onana is not looking to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, and he wants to fight for his future. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United is willing to give him more opportunities next season. They could use another goalkeeper to compete with Senne Lammens.

Onana has previously shown his quality in Italy, and he has done quite well in Turkey this season. If he manages to regain his form and confidence, he could be a very useful option for Manchester United.

The player cost them €51 million, and Manchester United are unlikely to be able to recoup that kind of money if they decide to sell him in the summer. Perhaps giving him the opportunity to prove his worth could be ideal. It remains to be seen what the player and the club decide.

Onana needs to play regularly

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old will need regular football at this stage of his career. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United is willing to give him that opportunity.

Sitting on the bench will not appeal to the player, and it would be ideal for him to move on if he is not given assurances of game time.

As things stand, Lammens is likely to be the first goalkeeper at the club for the foreseeable future. It will be interesting to see if Onana can convince the manager to give him more opportunities next season.

For now, he will be focused on competing at the highest level with the Turkish club and showcasing his qualities consistently.

Before his loan spell, he was quite poor for Manchester United, and he cost his team valuable points. He will need to improve immensely in order to start for the club next season.
