Manchester United considering part-exchange deal to sign Alexis Mac Allister

Alexis Mac Allister has been outstanding for Liverpool since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion, and he helped them win the Premier League title last season.

Alexis Mac Allister is currently one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and Manchester United are hoping to sign him in an audacious move in the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Red Devils are prepared to sweeten the deal for Liverpool by including a player, along with cash, to sign the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.

The report has claimed they could include Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, or Mason Mount as part of the deal. It is extremely unlikely that Liverpool will sanction the departure of one of the best players and accept underperformers from Manchester United in exchange. Also, they will not want to sell a key player to a bitter rival.

Alexis Mac Allister has also been linked with clubs like Real Madrid. It will be interesting to see if he wants to leave the club in the summer. The Argentine international has been an important player for Liverpool, and he is highly rated within the club. The player is a fan favourite at Anfield, and he has no reason to leave the club anytime soon. Liverpool must keep players like him at the club if they want to fight for major trophies.

Manchester United move may not be appealing

Also, the South American midfielder might prefer to join a club where he can fight for major trophies. Manchester United are in the midst of a rebuilding process, and it is not quite at that level yet. It will make no sense for Alexis Mac Allister to leave the Premier League champions and join Manchester United.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to test the resolve of the Premier League champions with an offer at the end of the season. However, it is extremely unlikely that they will be able to get the deal done.

Also, players like Ugarte and Mount have struggled at Manchester United and are unlikely to help Liverpool improve. It will not make any sense for the Premier League champions to accept them as a part of any deal to sell one of their best players.
