Tottenham, West Ham United discussing swap deal for Antonin Kinsky, Mads Hermansen

Tottenham and West Ham United are reportedly discussing a loan-swap of their goalkeepers Antonin Kinsky and Mads Hermansen.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham and West Ham United could engage in an interesting loan swap involving goalkeepers Antonin Kinsky and Mads Hermansen, respectively. The two clubs are looking to add competition for their respective No.1 choices this month, and a loan-swap could take place before the transfer deadline.

Tottenham and West Ham United are two clubs in the Premier League unhappy with their goalkeeping situations. The London duo have established No.1s in their team, but remain discontent with the competition behind Guglielmo Vicario and Alphonse Areola, respectively.

West Ham invested heavily in the summer on Mads Hermansen, but his performances have been awful since the start of the season. The Hammers have been active in trying to sign a new keeper this month, and after many failures in luring their primary names, Toulouse star Guillaume Restes is their latest target.

The Hammers were ready to sell Hermansen since November, as Areola has taken over the spot between the posts. There are suggestions that Hermansen would be open to staying and fighting for his place, but Nuno Espirito Santo wants to add a new keeper to provide competition for Areola as things stand.

As for Tottenham, they are in a similar boat as the North Londoners do not feel Kinsky is good enough to compete for the No.1 spot with Vicario. While they are also trying to upgrade on the Italian, that measure is for the summer rather than this month, although they might at least upgrade on Kinsky, given there is some interest in the keeper, who had joined the club last January.

Tottenham and West Ham to conduct a loan swap?

Tottenham and West Ham United are reportedly in talks over a loan swap of their second-choice keepers, Kinsky and Hermansen, respectively. The idea might work in favour of the out-of-favour duo to re-establish themselves in the Premier League, albeit as a second-choice goalkeeper.

It remains to be seen whether such a loan swap for the out-of-favour duo works out for Tottenham and West Ham. The talks are expected to last for a bit before an agreement can be reached, while such a move will also depend on the players and their preferences, especially as both could attract other clubs in the market.
