Newcastle United unlikely to pursue Tarik Muharemovic this month

Newcastle United have been linked with a move for 22-year-old Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic in recent weeks.

Tarik Muharemovic has done quite well for Serie A club Sassuolo, and he has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs. However, a move in January is unlikely, and Newcastle United are unlikely to pursue him this month. It will be interesting to see if they decide to return for the Bosnian International at the end of the season.

Muharemovic has the quality to succeed in the Premier League, and he could be an excellent option for Newcastle United in future. They need to improve defensively. They will need to find a quality successor to players like Fabian Schar and Dan Burn.

The 22-year-old defender has the ability to compete at the highest level with Newcastle United, and the opportunity to join them will be exciting for him. However, Pete O’Rourke has revealed on Football Insider that a January deal will not see the light of day.

Pete O’Rourke claims, “I don’t expect them to move for him in January. I think it’s maybe a more long-term target for the summer window. It’ll be a difficult deal to do in January, and it think it is one where Sassuolo don’t want to lose him midway through the season, as well.

For Newcastle, they’ll continue to keep tabs on him and will continue to monitor him, but it’s probably more a deal that they would look to do in the summer, if they are to firm up their interest in the player.

Newcastle move could tempt Muharemovic

Newcastle United have an excellent project and an ambitious team. They won the EFL Cup last season and will look to fight for major trophies in the near future. The Tyneside outfit need to improve the squad and tighten up at the back. The 22-year-old could help them improve and fight for trophies.

The Magpies are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, and they should be able to get the deal done if they are truly interested in the Bosnian international. The Serie A outfit might not want to lose a key player like him easily, but they will be powerless to stop him from leaving if a lucrative proposal is on the table. In addition, the defender will be tempted to join the English club.
