According to Team Talk, Alessandro Bastoni could be open to the idea of leaving Inter Milan for a new challenge abroad. The 26-year-old is a target for Liverpool among other clubs, with the Merseysiders angling for a move for a top-drawer left-sided central defender next summer.
Alessandro Bastoni is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world, and certainly one to look out for in the future of the transfer market. Inter Milan considers him key to their plans in the present and future, but should they receive a large enough offer, things could change in the background.
There are plenty of top clubs chasing Bastoni’s signature, and for now, the 26-year-old has stated he is happy at the San Siro. With a contract there until 2028, Inter Milan might consider cashing in on the centre-back should the likes of Liverpool come up with a big offer to test their resolve.
Liverpool are indeed interested in Bastoni, with the 26-year-old target a part of a small shortlist of top central defenders they would like to sign. Bastoni will certainly cost a premium price, something the Merseysiders might be prepared to pay in the eventuality of a chase.
Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck is also a key target, and could be a bit cheaper than Bastoni in the current market. Either of those two centre-backs are likely to only move next summer, with their respective clubs unlikely to entertain offers this month.

The news might come as a relief to the likes of Liverpool, who recently missed out on signing Marc Guehi, who joined Manchester City a few days ago. The likes of Bastoni and Schlotterbeck are seen as alternatives to the England international, as Liverpool are widely expected to chase the Italian should he become available in the market.
