Manor Solomon set to complete loan move to Fiorentina

Manor Solomon could be on the verge of joining Fiorentina on loan for the remainder of the season and is now expected to depart Villarreal.

According to The Athletic, Manor Solomon is inching towards joining Fiorentina on loan for the remainder of the season. Tottenham are expected to terminate his loan agreement with Villarreal and send the beleaguered 26-year-old on loan to Italy.

Manor Solomon continues to have a torrid time in his career, as he might soon be on his way out and join another team. Once tipped for a bright future following some exciting performances in Europe, he earned a move to Tottenham amid controversial circumstances.

After spending one season in north London, a pressure-induced situation probably had a part to play in his loan departure to Leeds United. While his performances had been crucial for the team to make their way back to the Premier League, Solomon failed to find a good enough suitor, although Villarreal were his best possible option.

Things have not worked in Spain for the Israeli international, where he has barely made it into Marcelino’s plans. Solomon wants an exit from Villarreal and remains keen to play regularly, and the pressure of being an Israeli player has had its role to play in the stagnant time at the Spanish club.

Solomon has no future at Tottenham, which could see the winger be on the move in January. Spurs and Villarreal are now close to terminating the attacker’s loan agreement, as there have been interest from the likes of West Ham United. However, it is Italian strugglers Fiorentina now angling for a move, and they might be the favourites.

Manor Solomon to join Fiorentina?

Solomon could be on his way to Florence, where a struggling Fiorentina side might be eager to add some firepower in a difficult season so far. The beleaguered 26-year-old could fit the bill and become a big part of their push to beat relegation.

Incidentally, Solomon has only featured for Villarreal this season, which could allow him to play for Fiorentina as FIFA stipulates a player can only play for two clubs in a single season. For now, Fiorentina are the favourites to land Solomon on loan for the remainder of the season.
