Tottenham forward Manor Solomon, who is on loan at Villarreal, could once again be on the move in the winter transfer window.
Manor Solomon doesn’t seem to be enjoying his time at Villarreal, and he could look to cut short his loan spell at the Spanish club. According to a report from El Periodico Mediterraneo, the Israeli international could be on the move in January.
Solomon has been a part of the Tottenham setup since the summer of 2023, after joining them from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer. While Spurs were hoping he would become an important part of their squad, things haven’t worked out.
While he had an impressive loan spell at Leeds United last season, it wasn’t good enough to help break into Thomas Frank’s plans. They were ready to cash in on him throughout the summer, but could only manage to offload him on a temporary basis.
The 24-year-old winger, whose contract at the North London club runs until 2028, is currently on loan at Villarreal. While he was hoping to have regular minutes at the Spanish club, Solomon has only racked up 351 minutes of first-team action in his 10 outings.
Solomon to terminate Villarreal loan move?
Despite contributing towards five goals, he hasn’t had enough opportunities at the Yellow Submarine. The Israeli international isn’t pleased about how things have panned out; he could look to cut short his loan spell. Solomon has a clause in his year-long loan deal that allows him to unilaterally terminate it in January.
He looks set to trigger that option unless something changes in the coming days. While he will be returning to Spurs for the time being, he has no place in Frank’s team. As a result, the 24-year-old will once again be available on the market.
With him likely to be on the move in January, multiple top clubs that seek attacking reinforcement could look to secure his services, as he could be a great short-term fix.
