Newcastle United ready to dip into Brazilian market next summer

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are all set to look into the Brazilian market next summer for the next South American gem.

While Newcastle United are looking to reinforce their squad in the upcoming transfer window with hopes of getting things back on track after a disappointing start to the season, the Magpies have also started planning for the long run.

According to ESPN, the Tyneside club are all set to focus on the Brazilian market in the summer of 2026 as they look to identify and sign the next wave of South American talent. They want to strengthen their project for the long run, and focusing on Brazil could help their cause.

Eddie Howe’s team have only gone from strength to strength since the Saudi Arabian Public Investment fund took over as the majority owners of the club. Newcastle United have been a force to reckon with in the Premier League, and they have made significant moves in the transfer window as well.

The Tyneside outfit ended up spending over £200 million last summer in hopes of bolstering their squad. While things have not been that great for them in the league, they continue to make plans to further strengthen Howe’s team.

The Magpies are looking for players who can have a similar impact to that of Bruno Guimaraes. They want to identify generational talents early and beat the European giants to their signature by moving past.

Newcastle to focus on Brazil next summer

Newcastle United’s decision to heavily focus on the Brazilian market has a lot to do with their sporting director, Ross Wilson, who recently joined the club after leaving Nottingham Forest. Wilson did wonders at the City Ground by bringing in players like Murillo and Igor Jesus, and now he wants to do something similar at the Tyneside club.

The Magpies are unlikely to look at the Brazilian market during the winter, as they want a more established stars to have an immediate impact. The plan is to focus on young South American stars starting next summer. Newcastle United are confident that this strategy could do wonders for them in the long-run and in the process help them sign the next Guimaraes.
