Aston Villa are gearing up to make an offer worth in excess of €22–25 million to beat Everton, Leeds United and Tottenham to the signature of Nathan De Cat.

Aston Villa, Leeds United, Everton and Tottenham are all keen on signing Nathan De Cat. The Belgian midfield sensation has made quite a name for himself, and now multiple top clubs from across Europe are set to battle it out for his signature.

According to Ekrem Konur, Unai Emery’s team are preparing a significant financial offer to prise him away from RSC Anderlecht. They are ready to table an initial bid worth €22–25 million plus add-ons, and are also willing to hand them a 10-15% sell-on clause.

De Cat has come up the ranks at the Belgian club and has been a part of their first team since last summer. At just 17, he already has 36 first-team appearances and has even contributed towards seven goals.

While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, the teenager is equally effective in a holding role. His ability to control the tempo of the game and his defensive awareness have caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in the world.

With only 18 months left on his Anderlecht contract, the teenager could soon join a bigger European club. Aston Villa are aware of his situation and are looking to make the most out of it.

Emery considers him a perfect partner for Boubacar Kamara in his midfield and is pushing the club to get a deal over the line. Villa have already stepped up their pursuit and are ready to table an offer as they look to beat Leeds, Everton and Tottenham.

Thomas Frank seeks more quality in midfield as he is not pleased with the performances of the current lot. De Cat is considered an ideal fit for their project. Meanwhile, Everton want to freshen things up in midfield, and Leeds feel the youngster could help them stay up.

While Anderlecht value him at around €35 million, Villa are looking to secure his services on a bargain because of his contract situation. But given the competition for his signature, it certainly won’t be that straightforward.
