The Brentford striker has been in impressive form this season, and he is our key player to watch out for. Brentford will need Igor Thiago  to step up and produce in the final third if they want to get the job done. Brighton & Hove Albion have a quality defensive unit, and they have a solid midfield presence in front of them.

Only Erling Haaland (14) has more Premier League goals this season than Igor Thiago (8), with the Brazilian scoring six goals in his last six appearances in the competition. His eight goals are the joint-most by a player in Brentford’s first 11 games of a Premier League campaign, along with Ivan Toney in 2022/23 and Bryan Mbeumo in 2024/25.

It will be difficult for Brentford to create opportunities and find the back of the net. It will be interesting to see if Thiago can continue in his impressive run of form and make a difference for his team in the final third.

Prediction

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Brentford

Both teams will be desperate for a victory here, and this is likely to be a close contest. Neither side will want to end up on the losing side. Three of the last six matches between Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford have ended in a draw, and this one could follow suit. The two teams are likely to cancel each other out and share the spoils in a draw.
