Manchester United are willing to fork out a massive €105 million to sign Javi Guerra and Benjamin Sesko ahead of next season.
Despite working on a very tight budget, Manchester United have already made two massive signings as they have added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to their squad. The Red Devils are not looking to stop just yet as they have two more top signings planned for this summer.
According to a report from Fichajes, United are willing to fork out €105 million to sign Valencia’s Javi Guerra and RB Leipzig attacking sensation Benjamin Sesko. The Red Devils believe signing the duo will give Ruben Amorim the needed resources to help the club bounce back after a disastrous 2024/25 season.
United are pushing for Guerra’s signature
Guerra has come up the ranks at Valencia, and he has been a part of their first-team setup since the summer of 2023. At just 22, he has already established himself as a key figure in their team, and his impressive performances have put him on the radar of United, along with a few other top clubs.
While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, he can pretty much feature anywhere in attack. Ruben Amorim has specifically requested the signing of a midfielder who can complement his double pivot and a world-class striker.
Guerra is seen as a perfect fit for the midfield role, while they are looking to go all out for Benjamin Sesko as their marquee signing up top. The Red Devils are looking to close the signing of the Valencia sensation for €25 million. Meanwhile, they are willing to spend the remaining €80 million on the RB Leipzig mainstay.
United identify Sesko as a top target
Amorim wants a striker who can make a difference in the final third, and Sesko’s track record for Leipzig suggests he could do wonders for them. The 22-year-old could be a great acquisition for the short as well as the long run.
The Slovenian international is certainly ready to take the next step in his career, and he is interested in a move to the Premier League. It is now down to the club to convince him about their project and then agree on a deal with the German club, who will try their best to keep hold of Sesko.
Meanwhile, United are also working on potential exits as they look to free up space for the new signings and, at the same time, ensure that they do not breach the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. Marcus Rashford will soon complete a loan move to Barcelona, while players like Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia are also expected to secure an exit in the coming weeks.
