Tottenham are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani and have asked to be kept informed about his situation.
According to Graeme Bailey via TBR, Tottenham could reignite their interest in the services of Randal Kolo Muani this summer. While the French striker has performed well since joining Juventus on loan, the Old Lady are unlikely to make the move permanent, meaning he could be back on the market once again.
On the back of an impressive season at Eintracht Frankfurt, PSG forked out a massive £77 million to sign Kolo Muani in the summer of 2023. But the move to the French giants didn’t go according to plan for him.
Since he was no longer a part of Luis Enrique’s plans, he ended up joining Juventus in January on a short-term loan deal. Kolo Muani had an impressive start to life in Italy as he scored in each of his first five games.
Kolo Muani is unlikely to continue at Juventus
However, a lot has changed at the Turin-based club in recent months. Thiago Motta has been sacked and replaced by Igor Tudor. The French striker’s fortunes have also changed as he has found himself on the bench in their last two outings.
Motta was a key factor behind Kolo Muani’s move to Juventus, and following his departure, the club are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal. While the 26-year-old is set to return to his parent club, he is not in their plans moving ahead, and they will look to cash in on him. His agents are already working behind the scenes, letting interested clubs know that he will be available this summer.
While speaking to TBR, Bailey said: “It is coming to pass now that is people are now letting everyone know that he’ll be on the move again this summer.
“Things have not gone according to plan at Juve, he’s playing well but they’ve just changed manager and he didn’t start on the week. It’s now completely up in the air whether Juve will make the deal permanent.”
Tottenham could return for Kolo Muani
Before he made the move to Juventus in January, Tottenham did try to sign him, and Bailey suggested that they could return for his signature in the summer as they look to reinforce their attack.
TBR’s chief correspondent further added: “Tottenham are one of the teams who are being kept informed on him. Tottenham like him a lot and know he’s a great player so it would not surprise me if he’s back on Tottenham’s radar,”
“I think with him being back on the market – that’s a fascinating option for Tottenham but there are others in the Premier League who like him. Daniel Levy likes him.”
The North London club will be in the market for another striker in the summer, as Dominic Solanke hasn’t lived up to the expectations following his high-profile move from Bournemouth last summer. Daniel Levy and other senior figures at the club hold him in high regard and view him as an ideal fit for their project.
Spurs could certainly knock on PSG’s door in the summer, as they have asked to be kept informed about his situation. Signing him won’t be that straightforward, as it will require a significant financial investment, and other top clubs could rival them.
