Atletico Madrid linked with a move for Luis Diaz

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are keen on signing the Colombian international and he could cost around €60-70 million in the summer.

The player has 13 goals to his name in all competitions and he has not been at his best this season. He has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months and Barcelona were reportedly keeping tabs on his situation as well.

The Spanish giants need more quality and depth in the attacking unit and Diaz could prove to be an excellent acquisition. The Colombian is at the peak of his powers and he will look to hit the ground running in Spanish football. South American players tend to prefer a move to the Spanish league and Diaz will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining one of the biggest clubs in Spain.

Diaz could be keen on a new challenge

He has proven himself in the Premier League and there is a high chance that he might be able to win the league title with Liverpool this season. He could be keen on a new challenge at the end of the season and a move to La Liga could be ideal for him. Atletico Madrid could provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies and he would get to play under a world class manager like Diego Simeone at the Spanish club as well.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish outfit are willing to spend €60-70 million on the player. Liverpool are unlikely to let him leave for cheap, and their asking price will have to be met in order for the deal to go through.

The Liverpool attacker is at the peak of his powers and he will be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact at the Spanish club. Atletico Madrid will be hoping to fight for league titles and they need better players in order to match up to the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Colombian will add pace, flair, goals and unpredictability to the Atletico Madrid attack. He is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three and he could be an asset for Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone.
