Alejandro Garnacho increasingly likely to leave Manchester United for Napoli

Napoli are pushing to sign Manchester United prodigy Alejandro Garnacho this month, as they have already submitted an improved offer.

According to Gaston Edul, Alejandro Garnacho looks increasingly likely to leave Manchester United this month as Napoli continues to push for his signature. The Italian giants are eager to recruit the Argentine prodigy following the departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and have already made an improved offer for the winger.

The sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG early this month represents one of the biggest deals in the January window so far. Napoli, who are chasing the Serie A title would need an able replacement to fill the void left by the Georgian’s departure, as Alejandro Garnacho has been their primary target.

Manchester United have already rejected a bid from Napoli, although the Serie A giants are pushing to sign the winger. The Italians have reporteldy made a new bid of around €45 million, which has not been turned down yet as the Red Devils might give it a closer look before making a decision.

The Manchester United prodigy has been frustrated at his role under Ruben Amorim, as the Argentine has not adapted to the Portuguese’s style so far. Garnacho has been open to joining Napoli since their interest became apparent, although things are not under his control.

Some reports have strongly suggested that while Garnacho is not forcing a move away, the Argentine might be very open to leaving the club if the chance came. Other sources have indicated that Manchester United want at least £70 million or more for the winger, and given Napoli’s latest offer, they are far off from the player’s valuation.

Is Alejandro Garnacho increasingly likely to leave?

Napoli are not alone in the race, as Garnacho also had Chelsea’s interest, with the Stamford Bridge outfit making a serious enquiry a few days ago. However, the Italian giants are making many waves in the race, as  Antonio Conte’s side is pushing to get the deal over the line for the Manchester United prodigy.

Any movement will depend on Manchester United’s stance on their valuation of the player. Given the chance to leave, Garnacho would, under current circumstances, as the Red Devils would also look at achieving a hefty transfer fee that would ideally be recorded as pure profit for Garnacho is considered a homegrown player.
