Tottenham and AS Monaco have entered the race for the services of Marcus Rashford who is willing to lower his wages to join Barcelona.
Marcus Rashford’s future has been a massive talking point in recent weeks. The English international has fallen down the pecking order post the arrival of Ruben Amorim and he is now expected to be on the move this month.
According to Chris Wheeler, AS Monaco and Tottenham have both entered the race for the services of the Manchester United graduate and it will be interesting to see if they can strike a deal with both club and the player in the coming days.
Rashford has been a key figure in the United first team for years but he hasn’t really been at his best in recent seasons. While Erik ten Hag did try his best to get him back at his best, things didn’t work out for him under the Dutch manager.
Rashford to leave Old Trafford
The arrival of Ruben Amorim was seen as a fresh opportunity for the 27-year-old to revive his career. But, it seems things have gone from bad to worse as the English international was dropped from the squad for the City fixture and hasn’t featured for them since.
While his contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2028, Rashford seems to be ready to try a new challenge away from his childhood club. Meanwhile, United are ready to sell as long as their demands are met.
There is a significant amount of interest in the services of the United graduate. Tottenham Hotspur and AS Monaco are two top clubs who have entered the race for his signature. Both clubs seek more firepower on the left flank and they consider it to be an ideal opportunity to pounce on.
Rashford wants Barcelona move
A move to either club will help the 27-year-old but it seems Rashford is more inclined towards a move to Barcelona. The Catalan giants have shown significant interest in signing the United star on a short loan until the end of the season and according to a report from Sport, he is ready to lower his demands to get it over the line.
Rashford is ready to take a significant pay cut. He is currently on €10 million net and with half the season already over, Barcelona only need to pay around €5 million to sign him on a temporary basis. Given the kind of financial situation the Spanish giants have, the United winger is ready to agree to a deal that will see him earn just €3 million.
