Stefan Bajcetic keen on sealing Real Betis switch

Stefan Bajcetic is reportedly keen to make a move to Real Betis this month, as Liverpool could facilitate a swift loan deal.

According to AS via Sport Witness, Real Betis received a boost in their pursuit of young Liverpool midfielder Stafan Bajcetic, with the player keen on the switch. The Spanish side are eager to reinforce their midfield options, and the young Reds star is one of the targets on their shortlist.

Real Betis were expected to enter the January window with the intention of signing a new midfielder. The Spanish side have shortage in numbers in the positions due to the injuries to William Carvalho and Marc Roca, as Manuel Pellegrini desires a new midfielder to come into his squad this month.

Betis had wanted Dani Ceballos and had hoped to take advantage of his situation at Real Madrid. However, that may not happen as Ceballos is expected to stay at the Bernabeu, thus forcing Betis to look elsewhere. They have now drawn up a shortlist consisting of a few names, including Roma’s Enzo Le Fee, Juventus’ Arthur Melo and finally, Liverpool’s young midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.

Bajcetic joined RB Salzburg back in the summer on loan, as the presence of former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Ljinders largely influenced that move. The midfielder gained prominent minutes under the Salzburg boss, as the move was essentially designed to help him gain experience in the game.

However, things have changed at Salzburg, who have already parted company with Ljinders, which has opened the door to think about Bajcetic’s immediate future. Liverpool are open to letting him join Real Betis on loan and are now expected to find a solution to the situation.

Stefan Bajcetic keen on Real Betis switch

The news that the 20-year-old Liverpool prodigy is keen to make a move to La Liga will be music to the ears of those at Real Betis. The player has the desire to play in Spain and joining Pellegrini’s side will be a challenging prospect as well as valuable for his future.

Betis are waiting to find out how Liverpool will facilitate this move, although they are not in a rush to complete the transfer as they have plenty of other issues to sort out. For instance, Betis might have to offload a few players before being able to bring the 20-year-old Liverpool prodigy on loan, meaning they will ideally target a move for Bajcetic before the end of the window.
