PSG prepared to cough up €100 million to sign Alexander Isak

PSG are reportedly ready to break the bank and fork out €100 million to sign Newcastle United mainstay Alexander Isak.

PSG are looking to further bolster their attack by signing a world-class forward, and they have their eyes set on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, the European giants are ready to fork out a massive €100 million to sign the Swedish international.

Isak had already made quite a name for himself while he was playing in the Spanish top flight for Real Sociedad. He made the move to Newcastle United in the summer of 2022 and has only gone from strength to strength since.

The 25-year-old striker has further enhanced his reputation since moving to England. He has been involved in a total of 85 matches while finding the back of the net on 46 occasions. The Swede has 11 goals and four assists in the ongoing season, and multiple top clubs have taken note of his performances.

PSG’s search for a new star forward continues

PSG are one of the clubs that are keen on adding Alexander Isak to their ranks. Luis Enrique seeks more firepower in the final third. and he believes the Newcastle United striker could be the perfect fit for his system. His ability to hold up play, his pace and his finishing ability could do wonders for the Ligue 1 giants. who are looking to succeed domestically as well as in Europe.

Kylian Mbappe’s departure on a free transfer was a massive blow to PSG. They are looking to ensure they have the perfect team to cope with his loss. The Spanish manager is not satisfied with Randal Kolo Muani’s levels. and he wants to bring in someone who takes his attack to the next level.

Alexander Isak is considered their top target for PSG, and they are willing to break the bank to get a deal over the line. Newcastle United will try their best to keep hold of their star as they consider him an integral part of their project. With his contract running until the summer of 2028, they are well in control of the situation.

But, PSG’s €100 million offer could complicate things. It won’t be easy to turn down that kind of fee as it allows them to strengthen other areas on the pitch and build an even stronger team that can help them fulfil their ambitions.
