Marcus Rashford is reportedly not keen on signing for the Saudi Pro League as of yet, as he believes in reviving his career at Manchester United.
According to TBR, Marcus Rashford isn’t fully convinced of a move to the Middle East, as the Saudi Pro League does not entice the winger just yet. The attacker’s Manchester United future has come into some doubt following recent events.
Marcus Rashford’s Manchester United future has come under massive scrutiny following recent events. New manager Ruben Amorim sensationally dropped the 27-year-old for the Manchester Derby and as he was not present in the matchday squad at all, it has sparked further speculation about his future.
There have been suggestions that the winger’s lifestyle is derailing his Manchester United career, with an active chance of the club selling him in the near future. There are a few links already emerging in media reporting, as the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona are linked.
PSG are also in the mix, as the French champions have been sounding out a move for a while now. Rashford, so far, has not shown any inclination towards making the move, as he has a long-term contract to honour, which does pay him high wages, some of the highest at the club in the current roster.
Saudi Pro League sides have also shown some interest in Rashford, and such a move will benefit Manchester United in a big way. The Red Devils will be looking at a significant fee to sell Rashford, although a big challenge for the Middle Eastern league would be to convince the 27-year-old to move.
Rashford not keen on Saudi move
Rashford believes he can fight and win back his place at his boyhood club despite the 27-year-old Manchester United star’s current status under Amorim. In case he has to leave, he will likely prioritise staying in one of the top five leagues and staying in a competitive environment.
Another big factor that may prevent a Saudi move would be the Saudi Pro League wanting players who are completely bought into the idea of playing there. For now, Rashford does not feel he’s ready to make the jump to a different continent. To an extent, he might be right, as there will be plenty of opportunities in the top European league as well as the Premier League in the immediate future.
