PSG hold talks to sign Dinamo Zagreb sensation Martin Baturina amidst interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Martin Baturina’s future has become a massive talking point as multiple top clubs from across Europe are keen on signing the Croatian sensation. According to a report from CaughtOffside, PSG have already held talks to sign the Dinamo Zagreb star while Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested in his services.
Baturina has come up the ranks at Zagreb, he got promoted to their first team back in 2021. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has already featured in 141 matches for their senior side and even has 56 goal contributions to his name.
He is one of the mainstays of the Croatian club and has already bagged nine caps for their national team. He has been likened to Real Madrid superstar Luka Modric for his abilities on the ball and his vision. The youngster has a bright future and top European clubs are already after his signature.
While Zagreb have no intentions of negotiating the departure of their wonderkid who has a contract until 2028, it will be very difficult for them to keep hold of such an elite prospect for much longer amidst interest from PSG, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
PSG are the front-runner at this stage as they have already held talks to sign him. They are working on a potential transfer and are willing to fork out €25 million to get a deal over the line. While they are pushing to secure his services as soon as possible, they will face significant competition.
PSG to compete with United, Madrid & Liverpool
Manchester United want to revive their attack. They seek more creativity and the attacking midfielder could be a perfect fit for Ruben Amorim’s system. He could act as a cover for Bruno Fernandes before eventually replacing him in the team.
Liverpool also seek more quality in the final third of the pitch and the 21-year-old could help their cause. Arne Slot is looking to freshen things up by signing a few young stars and Baturina could be a great investment in the long run.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are constantly looking for players who can further bolster their star-studded squad. Modric is expected to be on the move after the end of the ongoing season and Baturina could be a great long-term replacement.
