West Ham United eyeing Christian Pulisic swoop

West Ham United are reportedly interested in bringing AC Milan star forward Christian Pulisic back to the Premier League.

Christian Pulisic could soon return to England, where he seems to have some unfinished business. According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, West Ham United are interested in the American attacking sensation, who has gone from strength to strength since moving to Italy.

Pulisic came up the ranks at Borussia Dortmund, and he was already a regular feature in the German club’s first team quite early in his career. The American international was considered to be one of the best talents of his time, and Chelsea ended up placing a big bet on him to sign him in the winter of 2019.

He made the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of that year. While Christian Pulisic did showcase glimpses of the abilities he possessed during his time in London, he was not consistent enough and did not reach the expected levels.

Pulisic’s revival at AC Milan

To revive his career, the USMNT international ended up joining AC Milan in the summer of 2023 and has not looked back since. Christian Pulisic has established himself as a key figure in the Italian club’s first team. He has featured in a total of 65 matches for them and has contributed towards 38 goals (22 goals, 16 assists).

The player’s extreme pace, ability to take on defenders and creativity have helped him stand out in the Serie A, and his performances have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. West Ham United are one of the clubs who are interested in the 26-year-old who can feature anywhere in attack.

Christian Pulisic on West Ham’s wishlist

The Hammers are looking to revive their attack following a poor start to the new campaign, and they feel the former Chelsea star could be an ideal fit for them. The 26-year-old has proved himself in the Italian top flight and has the experience of playing in England.

While the American international is a key figure at AC Milan and his contract there runs until the summer of 2027, he could still end up returning to the Premier League. The finances involved will play a massive part in any potential transfer to West Ham. The Irons will have to table a significant fee and they will have to convince Pulisic about their project.
