Newcastle United are considering a move for Randal Kolo Muani in the future as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak.
According to Fichajes, Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as a contender to replace Alexander Isak at Newcastle United in the future. The World Cup finalist’s future at PSG isn’t nailed down, as recent reports link him with a move away. He could ideally replace the Swede at St James Park.
Newcastle United could endure a tricky summer window next time out, as they will once again face questions about keeping their best players. Last summer, they managed to hold on to their leading players like Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, as they might not get as fortunate the next time out in 2025.
Alexander Isak’s departure would be a significant loss for the Magpies, with many clubs keen on the Swedish striker. While there have been talks of a new contract for some time, the forward could push for an exit if Newcastle United fail to qualify for the Champions League next summer.
There’s no chance of a January move unless there’s a massive bid coming Newcastle’s way. Arsenal are willing to pay big to sign Isak, as the Gunners are indeed considered one of the leading suitors for the Swede. In the case that Isak does leave next summer, Newcastle United have identified French World Cup finalist Radal Kolo Muani as a potential replacement.
Muani has struggled for relevance since signing for PSG in the summer of 2023, as the huge price tag has weighed in only on the World Cup finalist. Although he does remain an important part of Luis Enrique’s side, especially after Kylian Mbappe’s departure, there are chances the club could see him as a dispensable asset.
Randal Kolo Muani to leave PSG?
There are reports suggesting the forward was offered to many Premier League sides, with Manchester United one of those keen. In any case, PSG have ruled out a January departure, although that does not mean they will be opposed to selling him in the summer.
Newcastle United would have the funds should Isak leave the club, and in that case, a bid for Kolo Muani could be on the cards. The big question here is whether they are considering other targets to replace Swede, as the French World Cup finalist has not yet shown that he’s a world-beater in that centre-forward role.
